Ropers Walk Barns are situated within a small working farm, located on the fringe of the friendly village of Mount Hawke. On our small farm we have a herd of pedigree South Devon cattle with our calves arriving in the Spring. Our domestic pets enjoy meeting our visitors and enjoy the freedom of their environment. Only 8 miles from the cathedral city of Truro and just a few minutes drive to the coast you will find us in a central position for accessing the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. Within level walking distance you will find 2 well-stocked village stores, one with post office facilities, a doctor’s surgery, churches, a gastro-pub and a regular bus service.

Cornwall
Cornwall offers a great deal throughout the year with its spectacular scenery, quiet coastal walks, cycle ways, popular beaches, picturesque old harbours, diverse shopping facilities and theme parks. In addition to these attractions are the internationally renowned Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, the new World Heritage Site, Heartlands, and numerous National Trust properties. Within our beautiful county you will find food to suit all tastes and budgets with many restaurants endeavouring to use locally sourced fresh produce, from fish and chips to succulent steaks. To complement your meal you may wish to sample a glass of locally produced wine or beer. And, of course, no visit to Cornwall would be complete without sampling the traditional Cornish fare, which includes: clotted cream, pasties, cider and ice cream as well as our locally farmed produce and freshly caught fish.
